What started off as an experiment quickly became us (Rickyrogers, Yung Tymz, JarjarBankx, Siren Keys, & Eas) capturing an era of our time. Right after (in)form dropped on the 30th of June i quit my job around the first/second week of July which is around the same time me, Yung Tymz, and Jas3 Money were wrapping up the 10-12 track project we were working on for about 2-3 months. Since Jas3 Money was heading to California for vacation the next week me and Yung Tymz started linking up with JarjarBankx as well as Siren Keys to start plotting on concepts as well as vibes for this new quest we wanted to embark upon. "Talk to me" (2-22-18) was the first track we recorded then "Are you still down" (3-14-18) was recorded right after "100 wishes" (5-10-18) due to concepts JarjarBankx had in mind for these tracks with the help of Ms.Momocho. Siren Keys (Jerome Anthony) had been playing imagination for me for awhile and I always knew it was a hit when I heard it but once Yung Tymz heard it we immediately started writing to it only cause we knew where we wanted to take it. Especially when we heard the intro from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. We wanted to express the highs and the lows one experiences throughout life and whether one would consider this a dream we live in. The next afternoon Siren Keys (Jerome Anthony) met me at Yung Tymz house while Tymz was gone. Siren Keys (Jerome Anthony) pulled his piano out and came up with "workinprogress" from scratch as usual. Instantly I came up with "I get around" and just kept repeating that until I came up with the chorus and verse as well. Me and Eas met up at the job I had just recently quit which is where I found out how much talent he has in producing. I mentioned early that I had been working on a project and he told me he would cook up something designed for my style. I asked how much, he gave me a price, I told him bet and he sent it through. Once I played "Thewayitgoes" Yung Tymz felt the beat and came up with the chorus first. Originally I had a completely different chorus and an insane about of bars for both verses but Yung Tymz felt like me and him going back and fourth would give the listener a chance to soak in my lyerics. "Something" got sent in towards the end of the project from JarjarBankx and the vibe was completely different from what we had planned for this project already and when I heard Yung Tymz verse I knew this track was going to be Something special. No pun intended. The last song we recorded to was "broken wings" a song me, Tymz and Ms.momocho had originally planned on getting on together but never ended up happening. Which brings us to the number 8. 8 tracks, on the 8th month out of the year, on the 8th day. It's actually your angels' way of communicating to you a very important message, one that can possibly change your whole life. Your connection to the universe actually extends outside the limits of the spiritual realm or so I've been told. Today is also Tymz's fiance birthday. So without any further distractions I present to you all "Ate".
